Our first foray into the hotel and restaurant business, Andanita TAJ of Tagaytay-the only indian-mediterranean restaurant in Tagaytay with lakeview hotel, coffeeshop and spa has just opened and got our first baptism of fire during this last holy week.
We were overwhelmed by the swarm of people who came and dined from Maundy Thursday to Easter Sunday. There were mixed reviews and feedback ranging from complains of delayed serving of foods (which is understable because of what we call "beginner's jitters" and unexpected simultaneous influx of customers), expression of satisfaction to the taste of our Masala, Curry, Biryani and Shawarma to great and cozy place descriptions. One of the best remarks we liked best is- "it's a good thing you gave us a great alternative and excellent choice in Tagaytay". Best because when we were in the drawing board doing concepts-our main goal was to provide Tagaytay regulars a new and unique option entirely different from the rest of the pack who are offering the same old food, the same old accomodations.
Currently, we are operating the first phase of our venture which is the restaurant part with the second phase to take off in three weeks time which is the hotel business which would complete our bed and breakfast concept. There is a third phase which would open a week later than the hotel- the Green Mountain Spa offering our very own Philippine Hilot aside from the usual chair back massage, foot spa and reflexology, etc.

TAJ offers great Indian food such as Tikka, Masala, Biryani, Tandoori, Curry, Kebab, Shawarma, Papadum, Chapati, Roti Channai, etc.
Our hotel has seven (7) rooms including our Indian-themed presidential suite-the "Maharashtra Suite". A very generous seventy five (75) square meter of pure relaxation with its own dining area and lounge having also a 100% view of the Taal lake and volcano plus the mountain ranges in the horizon.
The rest of the rooms are indian mediterranean inspired also: Royal Siam, Casablanca Deluxe, Cairo's Kingdom, Valencia Grande (can accomodate 6-7 persons), Glorious Athena and the heighest placed room with the second best view having a great vantage point overlooking the magnificent ridges and mountains: The Istanbul Heights.

The good news: We are now accepting advance reservation for the Hotel Rooms and Spa ahead of our opening to give way to the clamor and follow up of would-be customers who kept our phones busy this last few weeks asking us if we are open already.
